Who is Chelsea
Chelsea Cankar brings over 15 years of experience across experiential marketing, event production, and the music industry. She began her career with the music and fashion blog Stic-of-the-Week, collaborating with brands like JewelMint (Kate Bosworth) and H&M at Coachella 2009—well before the Instagram era. Her work has been featured in Refinery29, RedEye Chicago, and Chicago Magazine, and she has taught at Miami Ad School.
She went on to lead experiential, marketing, and artist development initiatives at Universal Music Group, Interscope Records, and Paquin Entertainment, working with artists including The 1975, Lady Gaga, Eminem, Tame Impala, Carly Rae Jepsen, Lainey Wilson, Bailey Zimmerman, Dasha, and Carter Faith, among others.
Chelsea founded Cankar Creative with a passion for connecting artists and fans—an approach sparked while working with The 1975 early in their career, where she created unique, high-energy fan engagement moments. That philosophy continues to drive the company today.
Cankar Creative designs and produces culturally relevant, high-impact experiences across music and brand. Highlights include Lainey Wilson’s Country’s Cool Again tour VIP experience, Warner Music Nashville’s CMA Awards event, Warner Music’s Heatwave House, JVN x Ulta Chicago, and a four-city album listening tour for Bailey Zimmerman.
In 2026, the company kicked off the year partnering with Amazon Music on Carter Faith’s tour, culminating in her first-ever tour wrap event at Skinny Dennis in Nashville.
Cankar Creative specializes in event production, creative direction, branding, and project management, working with top fabricators nationwide. The company expanded into Latin America in 2026 and continues to lead in design, AI-driven creative, and experiential marketing—creating standout moments that drive real fan connection and cultural impact.
